That announced they have gone,
Doves finally won,
End of an era,
No more blows and no more wars,
No more scorn and no more hate,

But there came the sunrise,
A new chance for them to be wise,
That bound me to face reality,
The truth I cannot stand,
This is all but a dream,
People are still killing,
Children are still crying,
Can't you hear their screams?

The bombs are still crashing,

With my dream, the gleam has failed,
With my hope, all the doves fled,
Leaving me alone with this sad reality,
